KENTA OSAWA ("Developer") establishes this Privacy Policy for the handling of user information in NeatPaste ("App").
This Privacy Policy applies to the App distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play.

2. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the App and to user information handled in connection with the App.
If the user moves from the App to an external service, external website, or third-party service, the policy of that provider applies.
3. Information Collected
3-1. Text Entered by the User
The App formats text entered or pasted by the user on the user's device.
The Developer does not collect, store, upload, or receive text entered or pasted into the App.
3-2. Information Stored on the Device
The App does not store entered text, formatted text, history data, or account information on the device, except as described in 3-2-1.
From version 3.3, on Mac, the App also saves a copy of the user's settings (such as rules and protected terms, but not entered text) and the App Store's signed record of the user's Pro purchase in a folder on the Mac that only the Developer's apps can use. NeatPaste Max, an app from the same Developer, uses them on the same Mac only to carry over the settings and to offer an upgrade discount. This information stays on the Mac and is not sent to the Developer.
3-2-1. Temporary Storage When Sharing Text to the App
On iPhone and iPad, only when the user shares text to the App from the share sheet, the App temporarily saves that text for up to 5 minutes in an area on the device that only the App and its share extension can use, in order to pass the text to the App. A record past this period is not read. The record is deleted when the App receives the text, or the next time the App or the share extension starts. This text is not sent outside the device.
3-3. Automatically Collected Information
The App does not automatically collect user information.
From version 3.3, on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, the App checks the country or region of the App Store on the device only to decide what to show about NeatPaste Max: in the United States, a notice with a link to its website; otherwise, a notice without a link. This information is not stored or sent.
3-4. Personal or Sensitive Information
The App does not collect or share personal information or sensitive user data.
3-5. External Services and Third-Party SDKs
The App provides a function to open web pages in an external browser.

- Purpose: to open legal pages, and, from version 3.3 on iPhone, iPad, and Mac for users of the United States App Store, the NeatPaste Max website when the user chooses to visit it

After opening a page in an external browser, the handling of information is governed by the user's browser, network environment, and the destination website.
4. Purpose of Use
Because the App does not collect text entered or pasted by the user, the Developer does not use that text.
If the user contacts the Developer by email, the Developer may use information provided by the user for support, identity confirmation when necessary, defect investigation, quality improvement, and legal compliance.
5. Sharing and Third-Party Provision
The Developer does not provide personal information to third parties without the user's consent, except where required by law.
The App does not use advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or tracking SDKs.
6. Data Storage
The App handles data as follows.

- Account information: no account is created

"Offline" means that the core text formatting process does not require network communication. A web page may be opened in an external browser only when viewing legal information or, from version 3.3 on iPhone, iPad, and Mac in the United States, when the user chooses to visit the NeatPaste Max website.
7. Security
The Developer takes reasonable and appropriate measures to protect information provided through support inquiries from leakage, loss, damage, unauthorized access, and other risks.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
The App does not store entered text, formatted text, history data, or account information, so there is no text data to delete inside the App.
Text temporarily saved in order to pass it to the App from the share sheet can be read by the App for up to 5 minutes. A record past this period is not read, and it is deleted when the App receives the text, or the next time the App or the share extension starts.
Text entered or pasted into the App should be managed by the user through the user's own operation, device, clipboard, or source application.
Information received through support inquiries may be retained for the period necessary for response and then deleted by an appropriate method when no longer needed.
9. Access, Correction, and Deletion Requests
The App does not provide account creation, history storage, or cloud sync.

10. Account Deletion
The App does not provide account creation.
Therefore, there is no account deletion flow inside the App.
11. Use by Minors
Users who are minors should use the App with guardian consent where necessary.
12. Changes to This Policy
The Developer may update this Privacy Policy as required by changes in law, changes to the App, or other needs.
Important changes may be announced in the App or on the public page.
